Author: Ian A. Todd

Volume: M71.10

Abstract

This volume is the tenth report in the series of final publications of the excavations and studies of the Vasilikos Valley Project in the Larnaca District on the southern coast of Cyprus. It presents the details of artefacts of all periods recovered during the course of the field survey of the Vasilikos Valley, the details of which were published in the ninth report (VVP 9). The main category of ceramics is published period by period (from Neolithic to Colonial) in the first six chapters, followed by a summary list of catalogued finds and notes on selected survey sites in chapter 7. Chapter 8 presents the chipped stone industries and chapter 9 a summary of the ground stone artefacts. All remaining material is discussed in chapter 10. In addition, studies on a double-sided stamp seal and a wall bracket fragment with a Cypro-Minoan sign are presented in two appendices and a third appendix available online through the SIMA website (https://sima.astromeditions.se) (see below) contains a complete catalogue of artefacts.
