Structure, Measurement and Meaning. Studies on Prehistoric Cyprus in Honour of David Frankel.
Editor: Jennifer Webb
Volume: M143
Abstract
This volume contains a collection of 19 papers written in honour of David Frankel in recognition of his outstanding contribution over 40 years to the prehistory of Cyprus. The chapters address various periods of the island’s prehistory from the Early Holocene to the Late Bronze Age and range widely across a number of subjects, including the scale and context of ceramic production, identity, migration, technology transfer, site longevity and abandonment, material and social transformations, seafaring, chronology and demography. Together they offer a cross-section of current work in the field and reflect a growing interest in the prehistory of Cyprus and in the evolving nature of archaeological explanation.
